If I could give this place a 0 star review, I would. Horrible customer service! I was charged $110 for an exam that should have been free. I was scheduled before a full 12 months meaning my insurance did not cover my exam. At no point was I told it was too early for my exam only after the exam it was too early to get glasses. If I had been informed prior to the exam, I definitely would have rescheduled it. I even received text messages saying it was time to schedule my exam. Scammers

Bad communication and in person service. After being told I was paid off, I get an over $200 bill 6 months later in my email. Too bad I paid in cash and did not ask for a receipt. That will teach me. My friend said the Oracle/Wetmore location is better, but I'll be finding a new practice because of the bad taste left in my mouth from this store.

I don’t recommend this location. The Nationwide on Campbell & Grant is better. The parking lot at this one can be dangerous. While my son was having issues getting in the car, a car came speeding through the parking space in between my car and another car with a car following it. The car could have hit my car and we could have been injured. I ended up very frustrated and yelled at my son to get in the car. I had another person in their huge suv drive by us to yell at me for yelling at my son. This made me incredibly angry. Also it seems the person they have processing orders is a bit slow and might be getting too up in age to continue this profession. She was the only one there doing this. This is not a safe location.

Exceptional visit. The doctor was highly communicative, and provided specific answers to all my questions. Great recommendations on the type of contract lenses to wear. In addition, I also purchased eye glasses. Awesome selection, best prices in town. Genuine service with a smile.

I went here on 5/18/23 to get a glasses and contact prescription and the staff is extremely unfriendly other than the tall man with a beard who seemed nice but i didn’t talk to. I got out the bathroom right after my name was called and instead of bringing me to the back she walked to the front sat down at the receptionists desk and sat and had a conversation as she was watching me wait. I was even early for the appointment and they didn’t call me till ten minutes later and still decided her conversation was more important. This used to be my favorite place but after my favorite doctor retired it’s not worth coming back. Plus pricing increased by a lot and staff knew we were upset about that.

I saw Dr. Chad McKinney on 8/11/23 because my vision took a strange turn. My glasses were hurting my head & I couldn’t really see through them, as if my sight was out of focus. Everything was normal with the person who does the pre-testing to prep you for the Dr. Once I got to his room, he didn’t continue to do the normal test through the lenses. He basically sat there at the screen, never looking at me, and started to say he thinks he knows what the issue is and why my vision took a turn. He said he believes I might have diabetes & said I need to see a primary doctor before they can prove me with glasses. I know I’ve had signs but I’m never mentioned that to him. He said they wouldn’t be giving me glasses that day and I need to get this under control first.. My wife thought it was odd because they don’t show you pictures or go over much information about the eye exam in general. She wanted a second opinion.. A week later I go to Advanced Vision Care and got my eye exam with them.. The results- My vision actually IMPROVED!! Which is why my current glasses were not working out. I’m in shock that Nationwide made me freak out for no reason! I’m in shock about the results and especially the way Nationwide made me feel. They didn’t even talk about my exam or give me my prescription. It was a very odd experience and I’ll never go there or recommend them to anyone. I’m thankful for Advanced Vision Care for taking care of me. I’ll be getting my new glasses soon.

5 years ago i decided to go to nationwide for my prescription eye wear needs. At that time i was taken care of by manager "Reyna Little" I left feeling completely satisfied with the service and product i received. Here recently I returned to purchase a new set of eye wear, only this time Reyna was busy assisting another customer. i was taken care of by another associate. I arrived knowing exactly what i wanted but was presented with the option to upgrade from bifocal, to progressive lenses. Reluctantly i agreed. Long story short, they didn't work for me and i was not happy with the decision i felt i was lead into making. So, i returned again and this time was greeted by the manager "Renyna Little" who fully understood my concerns and issues with the progressive lenses. She stepped in and corrected the problem, going above and beyond by adding the transitional lenses to my prescription, free of charge. Never before have I been compelled to write or leave a review before this experience. Just felt the need to acknowledge the caliber of service provided by manager "Reyna Little" at nationwide vision, Oro valley. Thanks guys, 5 stars
