I am very disappointed with this clinic. I am going to have to find one that cares for and understands the needs of people with disabilities. I had an appointment with the Dentist Katsuko M. in August for my son with Autism and ADHD to have a cavity treated, but since he is not going to cooperate, they have to anesthetize him. They tell me that he should not eat or drink anything 9 hours before the procedure. We arrived and the lady at the reception tells me that the appointment has to be cancelled because the Dentist had been poisoned and was not going to come, so it had to be rescheduled again. It seems that they could not call me to let me know that it had been cancelled, they waited for me to arrive to tell me that it had been cancelled. My son has sensory issues, and one of the things that helps him not to grind his teeth is chewing gum. In the morning before leaving the house he asked me for some gum, and I gave it to him. We had an appointment at 9am, she saw us at 9:40am and he asked me why I had given him gum. I told him that my son has sensory issues and grinds his teeth, that's why I give him gum, but she got upset and told me that that's not acceptable either, since it's food. I told him that that's not food, and he began to explain to me that it produces more saliva and that it's not acceptable. Then I told her that Can't you drink your own saliva either? She said yes. I explained to her that no one told me about the gum, and that customers should be notified. How am I supposed to know that gum doesn't help, and that you should train the staff more. While I was telling her this, she raised his voice, not letting me speak. I asked her if she would let me speak. She says that she doesn't want to argue, but she only wants to scold you for something. that no one knew, nor did they inform me, and she told me that in all his years of experience, only I did not follow her instructions by giving him a piece of gum, which no one told me I should give from the beginning. The truth is I am not happy with the treatment I have received, not only do I have to deal with IEP, people who judge my son for his behavior, and his disability is not visible, but I also have to deal with dentists like that. How little empathy.

** read the other 1 star reviews. They are spot on

Second year of taking my severe special needs daughter here and wow. Really bad experience. Waited an hour past appointment time, they were really rough with my special needs child. After being sedated they propped her in a chair wi the her head bobbing all over the place… very dangerous. And then when i asked when can she eat, the dr said “you dont remember?(from last years appointment)”. It was a year ago. And it’s completely normal to ask. I also had to ask what they found, if my daughter had cavities and it seemed annoying to her that even as asking. Will go anywhere but here in the future. This place should and will be reported. I certainly hope my daughter wasnt injured from the rough treatment (this was a few hours ago). Mortified.

I’m extremely satisfied with the quality of service my son received from this Dental Clinic. Dr. Matsui and her team are so professional and empathetic towards patients with special needs. I want to extend my gratitude to Dental Assistant who also takes care of the front desk. I really appreciated the way you empathized with my son and the personalized care/comfort you offered while he received his treatment, thank you.

Bad experience with my daughter.Staff is nice but Dentist Dr. Matsuy very rude, cut and dry. Has to be more caring and take interest in the pati needs, not just a number and let's pull out every teeth or wantings to saw off the teeth. ? Handicaps have rights too and the family must feel secure that Family member are in good hands. Too bad that there's not too many Dentist serving our severely handicap members. She yells at customers. Awful!
