Stopped by here to pick up some desert after having dinner at Ala Moana. We got there shortly before closing so many items were sold out. However we still got a good selection of great tasting pastries. They are open 8am to 8pm daily. Will go back again (earlier in the day)!

I had no idea this bakery opened up and told my sister in Cali we don't have one. Well my friend told me we did indeed, and I was overjoyed to venture here after lunch. It's located in a previous restaurant/bar (Pearl) which threw me off. They didn't have the cake my sister brought when I visited in Cali (all chocolate, super rich with cream cheese frosting) but I did try their mango pastry. It was so light and fluffy, fluffier than pound cake but denser than angel food cake. I also ordered a matcha one for the kid. There was tons of space to sit and eat which I might do one day. This is def a must if you want a sweet treat or just take a break from shopping. My item was not overly sweet which I love.

I enjoyed the freshness of the items I purchased from this location. The parking is on the 3rd floor by lucky strike. The milk tea and strawberry matcha drink were so tasty. The layout of the store isn't ideal as I kept bumping into ppl. The seating is limited as well so if you can snag a spot quickly, you are lucky. This location can be very loud when they are noisy. It is hard to have a conversation with the ppl you are sitted with when the place is packed.

I love 85 degrees bakery cafe, ever since I got to go in the mainland, and I'm so happy they're here in Hawaii. All the baked bread and cakes, as well as drinks are yummy. Very nice and attentive staff. The store is neat and clean inside. The only wish I have is for them to increase a variety of bread they have. But I am a regular customer and I will continue to go.

My wife had a sea salt coffee that was magnificent, the blueberry muffin and strawberry shake was equally great however there were a few desserts that missed the mark and were sort of bland, the layered cake and a strawberry white chocalate sort of parfait.

2 reasons for the rating… 1.) I was trying to ask the cashier questions about the different lattes and their milk options for coffee- which he didn’t know. Granted he was younger and I could try to find a way to justify it but he just kept telling me “I’m not sure” before finally walking away to get answers. This just tells me that he was ill-trained and they should work on that. 2.) I dined in and that place is so freaking COLD! It genuinely ruined my experience because the whole time I just thought about how I couldn’t wait to leave.
Aside from that, I opted for:

*Ham & cheese roll- 8/10 it tasted really good but it was extremely greasy and the rolled ham portion was very small (only in the middle of the roll)
*Milk Butter puff- 10/10 super moist and I loved the filling
*Jumbo coconut strudel- 10/10 it was a subtle coconut flavor but still very yummy
*iced Vietnamese coffee 10/10- it has a kick to it but it was sweetened and creamed to perfection.

I’m usually very skeptical about places like this because of the prepackaging but everything I had tasted fresh and it still maintained its moisture. Give it a try but make sure you bring a jacket!!!

This place is so good! Just walk in, get a tray and fill it with one of every pastry. You're welcome. My favorites are the chocolate filled croissant and Pork Sung Bun.
